Working in Hurstpierpoint this week with Flintman. Rebuilding a section of field flint wall. In order to match the original work we used a sand with a pinky hue to simulate the original washington sand - a locally sourced and historically popular variety. This wall is unusual in that the coursing displays a combination of left AND right hand flint laying styles, which will be carefully replicated in the rebuild.
