I recently spent a week up in suffolk, renovating some flushwork on a medieval church. Flushwork is a decorative flintwork style whereby intricate designs are cut into stone and then inlaid with flint. I was working with the flintman co. and expert flint knapper John Lord. Flushwork is more commonly seen in Norfolk and Suffolk than down here in Sussex.
